South Sinai Protected Areas
The Nabq Protected Area project focuses on land-use planning, ecotourism development, and protected-area management, establishing a spatial framework that balances conservation with visitor access and local community needs. The plan organizes the landscape according to ecological sensitivity, existing settlements, recreational potential, and movement patterns, while proposing low-impact accommodation, trails, interpretation facilities, mobility networks, and community-based services. The project aims to guide future development in a way that protects Nabq’s coastal, desert, and mangrove ecosystems while strengthening local stewardship and creating a more coherent and sustainable visitor experience.
