The Pioneer Egyptian Architects During the Liberal EraPublished Book - Author: Shaimaa Ashour
This book overviews Egyptian architecture during three decades; starting with the 1919 independence and ending with the 1952 revolution with a special focus on the works of Antoine Selim Nahas and Aly Labib Gabr. It is a deep study of the political, economic, and socio-cultural impact on the local Egyptian ideology and the architecture of that era. This book is built upon the author’s, professor Shaimaa Kamel Ashour, master thesis entitled An Overview of Pioneer Egyptian Architects during the Liberal Era (1919-1952 AD).
